I’m sharing another new fabric collection by Poppie Cotton called Country Roads, coming soon to stores. Poppie Cotton was kind enough to send me another gorgeous bundle of fabrics, and I am so happy to be working with them again to showcase their beautiful designs!

Perfect for spring and summer, I love the contrast of the pink florals and dark navy prints.

I wanted to try a new technique that I hadn’t done before, so I chose to do a quilt-as-you-go herringbone quilt project by designer Maureen Cracknell. You can find a great video class on My Blueprint. This class offers several different projects perfect for beginner quilters.

Because the project is a quilt-as-you-go there is minimal quilting after the front is completed. I finished the quilt with a pretty blue and white floral for the backing and the binding, which I think complements the County Roads fabric perfectly. This quilt is ready for gifting!
